Kick Buttowski Birthday Cookies

October 22, 2012

This little lady recently celebrated her 3rd birthday and while she may look like a little princess, believe when I tell you that she can be as rough and tumble as the group of boys she plays with every day in her Mom’s Daycare.  Sophie is as funny as she is cute and as adventurous as they come with a *no fear* attitude that certainly keeps her Mom and Dad on their toes.

As much as she loves everything Princess right now she also loves keeping up with her older sister Ella and the things that she enjoys doing.  Last week for example, at Ella’s swim class Sophie could not stand by any longer and watch Ella and the rest of her class enjoying their lesson in the pool.  In no time at all she had stripped herself down to her  underwear and headed into the pool to join the fun!

When asked what she would like for her birthday treats Sophie told everyone that she was going to have a rainbow and flower cake and Kick Buttowski cookies!  Her interests are wide ranging to be sure and as her cookie baking Nanna, it was up to me not to disappoint her in the cookie department on her special day.

For those who may not know who Kick Buttowski is you only need to tune into the Disney XD channel to enjoy his many animated adventures as a pint-sized, big-hearted suburban daredevil whose creator, Sandro Corsaro is said to have based the characters on his own childhood grown up in Stoneham, MA.

Little Sophie was quite excited about her cookies and her big birthday cake and we were all delighted to be able to share this special day with this special little girl whose smile lights up a room and all of our hearts.

Happy Birthday Sweet Girl.  Nanna hopes to be baking you special cookies for many, many more birthdays!

What a cutie! Thanks for the introduction to Kick Buttowski. There’s a Sophie in my life, too, and it’s a struggle to keep current. The cookies are adorable.

She’s adorable! I love her choice of cookies and the contrast between her pretty pink princess side and her Kick Buttowski theme. There’s just something about a tiny yet spunky child that makes my heart sing. Happy birthday to Sophie!

Happy Birthday #3, Sophie! Love the cookies – every girl needs to kick butt now and then! ;-)

Love that Sophie pulled off her clothes and jumped into the swimming pool – living life to the fullest with lots of zest & spirit is the best way to be :-)
