THE VANILLA BEAN BAKER

Your Special Occasions Are My Business

Who doesn’t love a cookie from time to time?  I specialize in creating custom decorated sugar cookies that are enjoyed time after time.  Not only for their delicious taste but also for their attention to detail.

Whether you are holding a corporate event, birthday party, anniversary or simply an intimate gathering, my custom decorated cookies will be the talk of your dessert table.

My cookies are baked with great care and with only fresh ingredients, no preservatives.  From butter, eggs, pure almond extract, unbleached flour and white sugar I create unique cookies to match your special occasion.  The signature ingredient, Bourbon Madagascar Vanilla Bean Paste give my cookies that gourmet touch.  My carefully crafted designs using royal icing and/or edible images are what personalizes the cookies for your event.

I take great pride in presenting you with a delicious quality product.  Contact me to discuss your cookie requirements and you can take pride in presenting them at your next special occasion.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND THIS BLOG

Hello!  My name is Paula.  I am the mother of two, the grandmother of three and like most *cookiers*, I’m a self-taught decorator.  After  falling in love with this edible art form I created The Vanilla Bean Baker Blog in March of 2010 to share my decorating experiences.

The Vanilla Bean Baker is a family-centric site dedicated to showcasing my homemade, hand-decorated sugar cookies.  It is a place of sharing whereby people can come and enjoy the occasional story along with lots of creative cookies.  Every once in awhile, I’ll bake something other than cookies but my passion is working with royal icing Paula Round Smalland more recently I am enjoying decorating cookies with edible images.  I love the entire process of taking delicious but *naked* homemade sugar cookies and transforming them into creative treats while enjoying the challenges a new design can bring.  Here you will find decorating tutorials, meet some of my family members, and get to know some of my decorating peers.  Along the way you will be introduced to some very talented people and organizations who are contributing greatly to some of the wonderful content out in the blogosphere.

Thank you for stopping by my site.  If you enjoyed your visit here, perhaps you’d like to subscribe and receive my new posts.  You have the option of receiving notifications via email or in your rss feed.

IF YOU SEE SOME COOKIES ON THIS SITE YOU’D LIKE TO ORDER OR IF YOU HAVE A SPECIFIC COOKIE DESIGN IN MIND PLEASE VISIT MY ORDERING CUSTOM COOKIES PAGE

Curious that you use vanilla bean paste & not pure ground vanilla or pure vanilla extract. A lot of vanilla paste is made with post extracted beans used to make vanila extract & sugar is added to make the paste as well. Much of the vanilla flavor is lost in the post extracted beans. The best vanilla flavor would come from using a fresh vanilla bean & would be less inexpensive than vanilla paste. Our Organic Vanilla Products at http://www.beaninthebottlevanilla.com are 100% organic & made with the finest ingredients.
